What are the pros and cons of processing a little girl's hair?

I don't want to braid or lock it. I'd prefer to soften it so she can manage it herself.

What are the pros and cons of processing a little girl's hair?

Children's bodies are more hyper sensitive to chemicals and less able to tolerate the toxic effects so great care should be taken to find the gentlest product available.

Pros of processing ? I'm not aware of any, I would just shampoo and condition then comb out gently with the 'cake cutter' picks.

My husband %26amp; his sisters did that, and their hair was beautiful.

What are the pros and cons of processing a little girl's hair?

i wouldnt process her hair too soon. i have always heard that you should wait until after her first period before u start putting chemicals on her.

What are the pros and cons of processing a little girl's hair?

It all depends on her age. If she is over 11 years of age that should be fine. Also, if you will start to process her hair, take her to the hair salon and let them do at all times.

What are the pros and cons of processing a little girl's hair?

How old is this little girl? I wouldn't recommend doing anything drastic, like colouring or processing it with CHEMICALS. First of all, when she is older and her hair is wrecked, she will blame you because she had no say in the matter. Second of all, she is a little girl!!! Children are sweat and innocent in their own way. Why do you want to mess with that. Curling her hair for special occasions is okay. Even braiding it is nice. But this world is so caught up in beauty. Why can't beauty be natural. Do you see where I am going with this. Let her be little. When she is older, she can make those decissions for herself. Try and teach her that beauty is inside, not the outer shell of ones self. It's good to take care of your self and try and look well kept. But lets try and change our childrens attitudes towards this subject. Teach her to be self confident. Other wise she will think she isn't good enough if her hair isn't dyed and she isn't all dressed up to the nine's.
